American Artist - RIVO (aka Richard Marvin Voigt)
RIVO is candid, direct, yet patient with all who share his passions for furthering Digital Art as an important chapter in the evolution of art history. He continues to teach and mentor children and adults, models and artists, in areas of education, business, real estate, domains acquisitions, ecommerce, and personal development. RIVO has a great heart and deeply enjoys giving back to others, serving his community in many roles since 1971, as an Art Specialist and award winning Artist, Artist in Residence, and Master Teacher. His love and tenancy for creating is evident through this amazing digital artist. Be prepared as the scope of his work can easily leave your breathless, as well as, excitingly exhausted.
After graduating from high school in 1960 RIVO began his journey of exploration first in business and then in servitude as he traveled to the far-east, living on the island of Okinawa. Experiencing this part of the world became an amazing life-altering experience that inspired his eyes, heart, and intellect, in appreciating and respecting cultural lifescapes, 40 years later referred to as the global village.
Living in the heartland of the Midwest, RIVO continues to serve as an inspiring role model giving testament to life’s greatest mission, love and appreciation for pure beauty located within the presence of mankind. As he said, “Creative Thought is the only reality. Everything else is merely the bi-products of greater of lesser thoughts we call - Reality.”
RIVO continues to explore and develop a kaleidoscope of dynamic talents, skills, and creative abilities. His unending enthusiasm and electric energy brings excitement via emerging technology now being channeled within the world of digital fine art. His imagination constantly explores the unifying elements of art, photography, and technology into a creative tool. He’s fearless in exploring new and unique approaches to fusing these disciplines into a new realm of reality that has generated a remarkable body of work. His work is pure, yet inventive, mirroring a reflection of his eclectic interests and diverse talents which are simply overwhelming.
His work continues to explore and embrace cutting edge technology, establishing the benchmark he calls DigitographyArt™ which is starting to generate lots of excitement in the world of digital fine art. Upon examining his work, you immediately enter an atmosphere of dramatic textures and dynamic colors leading you on an exploration of contrasts, both recognizable and abstract, third dimension imagery hidden throughout his highly structured digital masterpieces.
What surprised me most was his unorthodox business plan. The only way you actually see his work is through word of mouth referral. Although he is constantly creating, he has no set hours, is not open to the public, totally funds his own projects, and thoroughly enjoys sharing his digital masterpieces with his supportive fans. When lucky enough to meet and see his work in person, you will find him genuine, friendly, and extremely patient.
Every work has a unique story which is as fascinating as the work itself allowing the viewer the opportunity to understand the depth of his interests and passions. Needless-to-say, his studio, basement, garage, and additional storage areas are truly filled to the rafters. Should you survive this visual avalanche and purchase one of his works, you need to be prepared to explain his intriguing question – WHY?
